At St. Aedan Pre School, we believe in supporting and valuing of all families.  We believe that a parent is the child's first and best teacher, and it is our responsibilty to make your child feel safe, comfortable and special.  We are committed to providing a high-quality experience that enhances the overall development of the child and supports the family unit.  Our goal is to work in partnership with each family to focus on a child's individual needs.

Our Program

St. Aedan Preschool is:

  • Full day/full year program which runs from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. 
  • NAEYC accredited
  • Care4Kids accepted
  • State mandated sliding scale fee schedule based on income and family size
  • High teacher to student ratio
  • On site social worker and eduation consultant

 Our experience plans and curriculum are based on the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS) and and the Connecticut Documentation for Teaching System (CT DOTS) which allow children to learn based on their uniquness while building self-esteem, friendships and a sense of community.

Our Staff

St. Aedan’s Preschool readiness program  prides itself on having experienced professionals who diligently work with three and four year olds, creating a learning atmosphere where all children and families learn and grow together. Our Lead Teachers hold Masters or Bachelor's Degrees in Early Childhool, our Assistant Teachers hold Associate Degrees in Early Childhood or CDA Certificates.  All of our staff are trained in CPR/First Aid as well as Medication and Emergency Medication Administration.  

Our dedicated and experienced staff strives to create a holistic program that molds students into compassionate, lifelong learners and active citizens that generously give back to their community.

I have been working in Early Childhood for 5 years starting at Highville then I moved to a private school.  I hold an Associates Degree in Business and will have my Bachelor's Degree in Child Psychology in December 2019.  

I like to read, enjoy sports and my creative outlet is painting naturescapes.

I have my Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Pre K through Grade 12 Education.  I have three grown children and four grandchildren. I began my career teaching Middle School math in Hartford for eleven years. Following that, I started teaching preschool which I have now been doing for over twenty years. I enjoy teaching at CANH-St. Aedan Pre School and look forward to interacting with the children and parents each day.

After I joined CANH-St. Aedan in May of 2012 I decided to persue an Associates in Early Childhood Education.  I was a nanny for many years as well as a caregiver for the elderly.  I am a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 6.

After completing some college courses, I took a position as secretary at Pitney Bowes.  My interest in Early Childhood Education led me to a teaching position at New Life Nursery School and Tutor Time.  I have 18 years combined experience in Early Childhood.  I joined CANH-St. Aedan Pre School in 2018.  I am a nature lover and enjoy culinary arts. I am married and we have a son.

I majored in nursing and English in college which lead to a career in the health field.  I worked as an Administrative Assistant for over 10 years for Cornell Scott Hill Health Center.  I have two children and three grandchildren.

I have more than 20 years teaching experience in Kindergarten and PreSchool combined.  I  hold a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood education and I am Certified in the State of Connecticut.  I have one son who recently finished a 5 year career in the Marines.
